Hillary Bucher-Brown, LMFTA

My primary goal as a marriage and family therapy associate is to provide a safe and supportive space for my clients.

I fundamentally believe that all people are resilient and have what they need to face the inevitable challenges in life and relationships. By helping my clients build security within themselves and in their relationships, I believe change in possible. Anything can be renewed; there is always hope.

After a decade-long career in advertising and social media marketing, I went back to school to follow my true passion: helping families heal and create stronger bonds through therapy. I enjoy working with clients from all walks of life.

Approach to Therapy

First and foremost, I am a systemic therapist. This means that I am trained in a variety of models which view clients and their reasons for seeking therapy in the context of the systems they belong to. Those systems might be relationships, family, school, society, or culture. While I bring my systemic training into each therapeutic relationship, I primarily practice from an attachment-based perspective. I most frequently utilize the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) treatment modality. I may also incorporate other systemic modalities as needed in treatment (such as Structural Family Therapy and Internal Family Systems). Ultimately, therapy is a collaborative process and I look forward to working with you to find the best approach to support your goals.
